How To Play
- 6v6 including goalie
- Score by knocking the ball off the cone
- Two 15-minute halves
- Pass or shoot within 10 seconds
- If the ball hits the ground, it is a turnover
- No self-passes
- Stay out of the opponent's zone unless your team has possession
- Clear the opponent's zone after turnovers
- Do not enter the goalie box
- Goalies stay in the goalie box
- Subs are allowed, but the exiting player must be fully off first
- No pushing, charging, diving, or hitting the ball out of hands
- Play resumes only on the ref's signal
- Compete hard. Respect everyone.

FAQ
When does registration open?
Registration opens February 1, 2027. Right now we're collecting interest — joining the interest list does not reserve a roster spot or lock in a price.
How much does it cost?
The season fee is the same whether you play field player, goalie, or both: $100 early bird (Feb 1–28, 2027), $110 in March, and $120 from April 1 until registration closes (close date TBD). One jersey is included.
Do I need a second jersey if I play both positions?
No — it's optional. A second jersey is $40 (totals of $140 / $150 / $160 depending on when you register). There is no extra charge just for playing both roles.
Is there a deposit option?
No deposits are currently offered. Full payment is due when you register — no deposits or payment plans.
Where are games played?
J.C. Stone Field in North Park, in the Pittsburgh region.
When are games?
Saturdays in Summer 2027. Eight regular-season games per team, then playoffs for qualifying teams. Some weeks are day games and some are night games; exact matchups and times will be announced.
How many teams will there be?
We're planning six teams and can scale to four depending on enrollment.
Are there weekly practices?
No. There's one mandatory preseason session on Saturday, June 5, 2027 (exact session timing TBA). Try-It-Out / Scrimmage Nights are on Thursdays, April 15, May 13, and May 27, 7–9 PM Eastern.

I created Vikingball to bring a new, competitive and welcoming recreational sport to adults throughout the Pittsburgh area. The idea started with a tournament I played in during middle school — a game that combined teamwork, strategy, athleticism and fast-paced competition unlike anything else.
As a personal trainer, I wanted to give adults a fun way to stay active, compete and meet new people without needing years of experience in a traditional sport. I've built every part of the league — the rules, the field, the events — and as head referee I keep the game fair and help new players learn.
I'm excited to bring Vikingball to its new home at J.C. Stone Field in North Park for Summer 2027, and I hope to see you on the field.
